I have a background in mechanical, DC electrical, and hydraulic repair, as well as carpentry skills. My background gives me a “repair it” attitude rather than a “replace it” attitude. Sometimes things need to be replaced, but all too often it could have been repaired for a fraction of the cost.
Case in point: I have client who was sure her shower door needed to be replaced. Upon inspection, I saw that the door was moving smoothly on its hinge and that the door frame was square and plumb with the shower opening, yet just as the door began to come to a close, the “sweep” on the bottom prevented the door from closing fully. I replaced the sweep with a new part and now the door operates like new.
So when someone asks “Who do you call for that?” Call us, Atlanta Property Matters, that’s who!
